How to Root LG Optimus L3 E400
LG Optimus L3 E400 is now root with this guide. The L3 E400 is good and cheap phone. It comes with 800MHz processor, 1GB internal memory, 350MB RAM and Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. There is a tool specially designed for LG Optimus L3 E400 to root. After rooting your phone you can install custom ROM’s and apps that need root access.
Pre Requisites to Root LG Optimus L3 E400:
- Take a backup. The data in your LG L3 E400 won’t be deleted.
- SMS – How to Backup Messages
- Contacts – Sync with Gmail App
- Videos, Images, Songs and Other Files – Copy to internal / External SD card or System
- APN Settings – Take Manual Note from “Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names“
- Maintain minimum 60% Charge in your phone.
- Enable USB Debugging – “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”

- Download the Rooting Script to your PC – Here
- Connect your phone via USB cable with PC.
- Extract the downloaded zip.
- Open the “run.bat” file.
- Wait for the process finish.

The main reason for rooting is you can install Custom ROMs. Those ROMs have more performance speed, better environment, and more advanced options. And you can install some apps that need a root access. And also you can remove some system apps in your mobile.

Rooting is just like unlocking your phone to install custom ROM’s or any other apps that need a root access. So, after rooting, wifi hotspot will perfectly work. And don’t in unstable.

Just took mine out of the box and tried it. I connected usb enabled de-bug and enabled unknown sources just in case and connected with software but still hangs on daemon started successfully. Any idea?

Rooting will not help you to play better games. It gives an access for installing custom ROM’s and some apps that need a root access.

later, boot the cel and the process will finish

This happened with another program. I did everything you said and the screen popped up I press anykey and it started working. Except it was saying it was being denied permissions and kept rebooting and failing till it gave up. Do you know why this happens?

When did you buy your lg e400? Newer e400’s rom is the latest and unrootable.

Trying to root but USB debugging is not enabled. This is grey in my phone, I can’t change this option! Somebody any idea?

At first connect your phone with USB cable to PC, on the phone select
“PC Software” as connection type. After that check the debugging setting
again, wouldn’t be grayed IMHO.
On the next occasions will automatically switch to debug mode.

I read this topic and discussion with great interest. Unfortunately I don’t manage to root my LG (LGE400 – Android 2.3.6 Kernel: 2.6.38.-perf – GRK39F – Software V10s-FEB-11-2013).
I disabled my virusscanner and firewall.
I installed the latest versions of the LG USB-driver
I enbabled “USB debuggin”, put the USB in mode: Software PC, etc.
I downgraded to Version10c and, without success, gave it a try.
The phone drives me almost to madness.
If I understand the error messages correctly the necessary files can not be pushed to my phone.
You’ll find those messages (Rosenberg method spectrum_roor_windows) underneath.
All help will be very much appreciated,

I want to add that, under the same settings as in my previous contribution to the topic, using SuperOneClick (rageagainstthemachine v.1.7.0.0) I get the following error messages when rooting:
Android 2.3.6 on LG3 E400 (v10c) – to which I downgraded – as well as (v10s).
The procedure gets stuck in “Running Rageagainstthecage”.
I’m looking forward to some help, because this device costed me some days be now.

Remove the battery. Re insert it and do the process again!
